The lodge was very pleased to donate £200 recently to the Trust, which provides, in many cases, regular support at home from a Children’s Respite Trust Carer for children's families. For other children it involves them attending a regular activity and for some it might be a week in a private respite centre that the Trust has organised. Either way, it means that families can get a much-needed break from the strain of caring for a disabled child 24 hours a day. During the summer of 2018, the Trust opened its own day care centre in Uckfield, East Sussex.
